Seegrid Press Conference Next Tuesday March 18 at MODEX 2014

Pittsburgh-based Seegrid Corp. (, the leading automated guided vehicles or industrial robotic truck manufacturer worldwide will present an important press conference during the MODEX Convention on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10:30 am at Booth 7317. David Heilman, President for Seegrid and Jeff Christensen, Seegrid’s Director of Product Development will introduce the new product, GWS35 walkie stacker.

MODEX will be the first time the GWS35 will be debuted and demonstrated for the materials handling industry. The GWS35 automatically picks, drops, stacks, and puts away loads up to 72 inches. The GWS35 is equipped with Seegrid’s patented vision-guided autonomous navigation system and automatically transports palletized loads through manufacturing and distribution environments.

The vehicle offers fast and effective deployment within hours instead of weeks, has the ability to change routes quickly and easily, operates safely with workers and equipment, and provides the most operational flexibility for the automation of internal material flow in distribution and manufacturing facilities. The GWS35 rapidly reduces labor and operating costs while creating a lean, productive, and efficient operation.

Prior to the GWS35, the Seegrid flexible automated guided vehicle (AGV) suite included only automatic horizontal transportation of goods. With the GWS35, customers have a fully automated solution that is affordable, flexible, and simple to operate.

During the press conference the company’s theme for the expo, Automation for Everyone will be highlighted. Seegrid stands by the theme by giving attendees an amazing opportunity to win a fully installed GWS35 walkie stacker.

The company has recognized the economic change in manufacturing. There is a strong increased demand for driverless industrial robots to transport goods horizontally without wire, tape, or laser. These industrial robots are manufactured in America and support American manufacturing and warehousing companies— keeping America at the forefront of innovation and technology.
